Registering API Callable IP

Register IP addresses before calling APIs.

What Is an API Callable IP?

An API Callable IP is an IP address allowed to call the API. For security purposes, only registered IP addresses may call the API. Make sure to check the API Callable IP before calling APIs. The IP address that has accessed the console is registered as the API Callable IP by default.

For security purposes, following addresses cannot be registered.

localhost, 0.0.0.0, 127.0.0.1, and other private IP bands





Register API Callable IP

1. To Allow Access to All Wallets

Register global API Callable IPs to access all wallets by calling an API from registered IP addresses. 🔑 Owner

  1. Access the Console - [Developer Tools] - [API Callable IP].
  2. Click the [Register] button.
  3. Choose ‘Global’ under ‘Category’, and enter the IP address and the name.
  4. API Callable IPs will be registered when a valid OTP authentication code is entered.

2. To Allow Access to a Specific Wallet

Register wallet-specific API Callable IPs to access a specific wallet by calling the API from registered IP addresses. 🔑 Owner, manager

  1. Access the Console - Select a wallet - [Wallet Settings] - [API Callable IP].
  2. Click the [Register] button.
  3. Enter the IP address and the name.
  4. API Callable IPs will be registered when a valid OTP authentication code is entered.

What to Do When You Can’t Call APIs

Check the IP address of the device that tried calling an API using ‘whatismyip’, and check if the IP address is registered in Octet.
